Assessment
Teachers constantly assess the progress that children are making and use this information to inform next steps in planning.
In addition to this, some year groups also carry out Statutory Assessments.
Children in Year R will complete a Baseline Assessment in the first six weeks of school. Below is the guide for parents which gives more information.

At the end of the year, Year R children are assessed again to judge whether they are meeting the expected levels of development.
- Children in Year 1 will complete the Phonics Screening Check in the Summer Term.
- Children sit end of Key Stage tests in English and maths in Year 2 and Year 6.
- Children in Year 4 will complete the Multiplication Check in the Summer Term.
